Day 59: Chatter
It has become almost impossible to watch a show. I find myself constantly shushing my kid who won't stop talking. This happens whether it is something she has never seen before or whether it's the fourth time she watches it. I'm at a loss as to what to do because I don't enjoy telling her to stop and I find it deeply irritating that she would first say she would love to see something together but later will not pay attention to a show we have seen four times. I mean, I liked Stranger Things and all, but time four is way too much when someone is going on and on about whatever.
To be honest, if I were to rewatch something, I would rather go for Umbrella Academy. We only saw that once. Ellen Page plays the main character. The music is cool. I don't know.
Now that I know that Hopper is coming back (if we are ever back from the pandemic and they can finish filming the season, of course), I feel way better about watching it. There will be something new about it.
Watching Stranger Things a fourth time levels up the Groundhog Day situation we are in. Of course, this is the first time we watch it during the pandemic or in the clothes I'm wearing (as my mother would say). Perhaps, I should be a bit more patient, but up with the incessant chatter and just enjoy the novelty of hearing Tessa's commentary. It is, after all, like Monty Python and the Holy Grail with subtitles from Henry the IV, Part II, for people who don't like the film.
