Projects
In this page, you will find work in progress and current projects in which I am involved.
This project pioneered the use of digital tools for the analysis and presentation of textual data. Thirty years in the making, we have started work on a new critical edition of the Canterbury Tales.
A community of practice and network of projects and laboratories dedicated to understanding the role of data in traditional humanities research and publication workflows.
The HIL hosts three doctoral candidates and two MA students pursuing work on different aspects of Digital Humanities and AI. It houses various projects, including the Canterbury Tales Project, the Visionary Cross, and Humanities Data Inquiry.
Resistance to Data
As a follow-up to HDI, we are currently seeking funding for Resistance to Data, a project that will continue to explore the relationship between data and Humanities research.
Generative AI and the Humanities
We have various lines of research on AI and its relationship with the Humanities. We are particularly interested in the uses of ChatGPT (and similar) as tools that will culturally erode the Global South. A collaborative article on AI detection systems is currently being considered for publication.
The Unessay Book
This book, co-edited with Dan O'Donnell and Ryan Cordell, explores the unessay across disciplines and seeks to present its use in different contexts and countries.
